Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the permissible input ripple voltage to the regulated power supply circuit, by using a diode in place of the inductance in the circuit to reduce the ripple voltage superimposed on the input voltage inputted to the regulated power supply circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The input voltage inputted to the regulated power supply circuit Q is fed via the filter F2, which consists of the diode D provided in place of the inductance and the smoothing capacitor C1. With this constitution, when a ripple voltage is superimposed on the input voltage vin, the ripple voltag caused by the current I0 flowing to the diode D is rectified and fed to the smoothing capacitor C1, and it is fed to the power supply circuit after smoothing to reduce the ripple voltage at the point A at the output side than the input ripple voltage. Further, the current boosting transistor Tr1 ahd Tr2 are connected to the diode D and the capacitor C1 of the filter F2 to make effective the rectifying opera tion of the diode D when the input ripple voltage is smaller.
