Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize flames in case of weak and seed-fire combustion, by arranging a red heat body near an ignition heater of an oil reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: In a device that forms an oil reservoir 6 to one portion of a bottom of a combustion cylinder 2, which one end is blocked by means of an end plate 3 and which is disposed approximately horizontal, and each drills primary air holes 10 at the upper stream side of the oil resevoir 6 and secondary air holes 11 at the downstream side, a red heat body 24 in materials with low heat transfer rate such as ceramic is additionally mounted to space near said oil reservoir 6, the front of a metal wick 23 of an ignition heater 21. Consequently, the red heat body 24 effectively functions as an ignition source even when flames are blown out for some reason because flames are formed at the upper steam side of a flame piloting baffle 17 and in a weak region just above the oil reservoir 6 when weak and seed-fire combustion and the red heat body 24 held to the metal wick 23 is heated during the time, thus stabilizing flames.
