Abstract
PURPOSE: To cut off the charge transfer element with the fixed external DC voltage at all times by detecting previously the difference of the interanl potential under the 1st and 2nd gates and using the voltage to correct the external DC voltage.
CONSTITUTION: With supply of the pulse to charge supply source 2, the potential features VSH at the high level of the pulse and VSL at the low level respectively. At the part of gate G1, the level of potential V1 is decided by DC bias VIB and input signal source 4; while the level of potential V2 is decided with output voltage VADJ of DC voltage shift circuit 5 each. With supply of the pulse to gate G3 from pulse supply source 6, the potential features VSH and VSL with the high and low levels of the pulse respectively. The charge amount transferred into the the CCD is proportional to voltage VADJ and then cut off at the low level. Voltage VADJ is not constant and varied with dispersion of the manufacture time of the element. In this connection, the potential difference is detected previously under gates G1 and G2, and external DC voltage VIN is corrected with the difference voltage to secure the CCD cut-off state.
