Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve safe operation and control of a Condemi by beforehand knowing the break through point of the Condemi periodically thereby preventing troubles owing to performance degradation of the Condemi daily and making regeneration timing correct or doing other thing at the abnormal time of water quality such as leakage of sea water of condenser, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The reproduced resins of the actual machine Condemi are packed so as to become the same resin layer height as that of the acutual machine in a test column 12. Water is supplied to the test column 12 while controlling the rate of condensate flow by flow requlating valves 13 thru 19 in such a manner that the same water supply conditions as those of the actual machine Condemi are established. A sampling valve 20 is normally held closed and when necessary, sample for manual analysis is drawn therethrough. The amount of the sample drawn is added to the integrated flow rate. The condenstae is supplied under the conditions close to those of the actual machine Condemi in this way and the water quality at the outlet of the test column 12 is continuously controlled by a cell 25 for conductivity meter, a conductivity meter 26 and a hybrazine meter 27. Hydrazine is detected by the hydrazine meter 27 to know the break through point of the test column 12 in this way and the integrated flow rate thereof is multiplied by the ratio of the resin amount to the desalinization tower of the actual machine Condemi, whereby the break through point (water drawable rate) of the actual machine Condemi is obtained.
