Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the use of a cheap magnetic material and reduce the costs by dividing a magnet constituting a working element into two parts and passing a current through a coil, thereby distinguishing the magnetic flux of one of the parts and causing the vibration of a striking hammer.
CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet 11 is fixed onto the first yoke 12 in the center thereof and an L-shaped second yoke 19 is fixed onto the reverse side of the magnet 11 in such a manner that the first yoke and second yoke face to each other. A void 20 is formed between the two yokes and a coil 14 is wound only around the yoke 19. On one end of the yoke 19, a movale magnetic piece 13 made of a flat spring is fixed, and the head of the piece 13 is placed close to the end surface of the yoke 12. Corresponding to a striking hammer 15, a printing paper 17, an ink ribbon 16 and a platen 18 are disposed. The magnetic paths of the working element is divied into 21 and 22, and the attraction force of the yoke 12 is controlled by excitement and distinguishment of the coil 14 provide around the yoke 19. Thus the printing is effected by utilizing the elasticity of the magnetic piece 13.
