Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a polyester powder coating composition having excellent storage stability and fluidity, and giving a smooth coating film having a bright color, by compounding an air-curable polyester which is solid at room temperature, a specific compound, and a radical generator.
CONSTITUTION: A powder coating resin composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of an air-curable solid polyester having a softening point of 30W170°C and a molecular weight of 500W20000, and containing 0.2W40 wt% of a compound which imparts the polyester with air-curability, having a tricyclodecane, cyclohexene or norbornene ring, (B) 0.001W2 parts of a compound having one or more groups selected from phenolic OH group, amino group and quinone group, e.g. octadecyl 3-(3',5'-ditertiary butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate and phenyl-2-naphthylamine, and (C) 0.001W5 parts of a radical generator having a half life time of ≥ 1 min. at 130°C and ≥ 10 hours at 70°C.
