Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to adjust the position of the knife edge and support the edge elastically without requiring a specific machining of the door, by means of a slidable edge pressing member engaged with the cylindrical support frame and an elastomer to press the member.
CONSTITUTION: Each of the knife edge 1 around the oven door 2 is fixed by the bolts 4 and the auxiliary plates 5 to the one end of the sealing plate 3 bent in the U-shaped cross-section. The other end of the plate 3 is held by the strip plate 6 in contact with the side of the door 2 and the metal fittings 8. The plate 6, sealing plate 3, and fittings 8 are fixed to the door 2 by tightening the nuts 21 screwed into the bolts 9. The frame 3 contains the slidable pressing member 24 to be in contact with the back of the edge 1, and the elastomer 25 to press the member 24 to the edge 1.
