Abstract

PURPOSE: To change luminescent colors in accordance with the magnitude of applied voltage on a fluorescent screen and its impression system by constituting the fluorescent screen with a number of fluorescent materials which emit light at different emission wavelengths.
CONSTITUTION: The fluorescent screen 7 mixes a number of fluorescent substances whose emission wavelengths and characteristics differ respectively and is coated on electrodes. For example, it mixes at least a single fluorescent substance which is selected from the fluorescent substance group consisting of the ZnO:Zn, Zn2SiO4: Mn, ZnS:Mn, ZnS:Cu, ZnS:Ag, (ZnCd)S:Ag, ZnGa2O4:Mn, MgGa2O4:Mn, and Y2O2S:Eu fluorescent substances and the SnO2: Eu fluoresent substance.
