CONSTITUTION: When demagnetizing coil 4 is wound on reinforcing frame body 3 made of a metal fixed to the external circumference of face panel 2, a single winding is given to the external circumference of the upper longer-side part of face panel 2. As a result, the axis of winding part 7 of coil 4 is nearly perpendicular to that of picture tube 1 and vertical magnetic flux B is strengthened against a shadow mask installed in tube 1. In addition, magnetic shielding effect and demagnetizing effect in the center of the screen are reinforced.
