Abstract
PURPOSE: To make easier the dividing coating of different color powder paints by preventing contamination due to intermixture of scattered particles from spraying gun by providing a suction type shielding plate at the border between the surface to be coated and the surface not to be coated.
CONSTITUTION: The space between the suction type shielding plates 1 arranged in parallel with each other at an interval of 0.1 to 10mm is led to the suction port of the body 30, and the suction tip 1' of the shielding plate 1 and the surface to be coated are set oppositely at an interval of 1 to 10mm at the border between the surface A to be coated and the surface B not to be coated of the object 20 to be coated. Thus, part of powder paint particles scattered from the electrostatic powder spraying gun 10 is sucked up in the space between the shielding plates 1 and recovered there, thus preventing the contamination due to the intermixture of powder paint and scattered powder particles.
