Abstract
PURPOSE: To fold up surely a printing paper on the form stacker by providing means to establish the initial folding settings by using information of unit folding length.
CONSTITUTION: Approximate folding length may be known from the feeding amount of printing paper ranged from a fold of concave side to a fold of next cocave side with use of a fold detector 31 and a feeding detector 36 of printing paper, converting to new lines mL by multiplying new line information K per unit length available from the logical device 51, being divided with a divider 52 by new lines mT corresponding to the unit slip length T, obtaining the sum of the result whereof and output of detector 55, whereby obtaining new lines mF against the unit folding length F, and further obtaining unit folding length F with divider 58. The unit folding length information available from said mentioned method is fed to a swing control circuit of the form stacker to work out the initial settings.
