Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the base oil of grease from flowing out and rain water or the like from entering into antifriction bearing, by interposing an O-ring between a bearing cover and a bearing frame wherein the antifrication bearing is installed.
CONSTITUTION: The bearing cover 5 is secured by bolts 4 on the bearing frame 1 wherein the antifriction bearing 2 is provided. An O-ring fitting groove 9 is provided between the outside of the outer race of the antifriction bearing 2 and insertion holes C for the bolts 4. The O-ring 10 is fitted in said groove 9. A shut-off cover 11 is provided on the fan-shaped grease chamber A of the bearing cover 5 in the face of the bearing frame 1. As a result, the base oil separated from the grease in the bearing is prevented from flowing out of the bolt insertion holes c and a gas δ and rain water or the like is blocked from entering into the bearing.
