Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a constant torque independent of the density of magnetic flux which intersects a coil of a DC motor and varies depending on the rotation angle of the motor, by causing a driving current to flow through the coil in response to a signal inversely proportional to the density of magnetic flux.
CONSTITUTION: The rotational position of the rotor of the motor 1 is detected by a Hall element 2 sensitive to the leakage flux of a field magnet for the rotor. A calculation circuit 3 generates the signal (e), which is inversely proportional to the density of magnetic flux crossed with the coil of the motor 1 but is proportional to a speed regulating voltage Vs. The signal (e) is applied to a switching circuit 6 to produce a coil switching signal corresponding to the rotation angle of the rotor. The signal (e) is also applied to a voltage-current converter 5 to cause the driving current proportional to the signal (e) to flow through the a transistor 7.
