Abstract

PURPOSE: To quickly and surely detect the wrong opening or closing of a valve or the like, by providing a jamming detection circuit which has a timer which is energized at the same time as the application of an opening or closing instruction by a control power source separate from a motor control power source for opening/closing the valve.
CONSTITUTION: The motor is rotated forward according to an opening instruction to open the valve. At that time, a contact 6-a2 or 13-a2 is closed and a timer 103 starts counting. When the valve is fully opened in a prescribed time, the timer 103 stops the counting because said contact is opened simultaneously with the stoppage of the motor. When the opeation of the motor is stopped according to an opening or closing instruction due to some cause, a contact for energizing the timer is opened simultaneously with the application of the instruction but the timer 103 is self- sustanied through the contacts 19-b, 20-b of a position detection relay so that the timer continues counting. After a set time, an alarm or the like is raised. When a closing instruction is applied, a contact 7-a2 or 14-a2 is opened or closed to perform the same operation as under the opening instruction.
