Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease noises, and to improve pumping-up properties, by mounting a flow dividing plate dividig a circulation passage along the flow direction to a suction port of a casing.
CONSTITUTION: A casing 1 consists of a suction port 2, a discharge port 3 and a partition wall 4 dividing these ports, and an impeller 5 is provided with spaces 6. A flow dividing plate 8 dividing a circulation passage 7 is additionally installed so that the plate be parallel to a flow. Thus, the genertion of noises due to collisions among flows 9 and flows 10 and turbulent eddies due to the flows 9 and flows 10, 11 can be prevented because the flows 9 at the suction side and the flows 10, 11 at the discharge side can be separated by means of said flow dividing plate 8, and this vortex-flow pump with low noises and excellent pumping-up or blast performance can be obtained.
