Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible stable and high speed developing by forming the porous and liquid retentive elastic body of a compressing and restoring developing roll used for liquid development by the specified nitrile rubber. CONSTITUTION:If the liquid-retentive and conductive porous elastic body 3 which forms a developing roller 1 for wet type together with a conductive rigid central body 2 and a liquid-permeable and flexible and insulating tubular screen 4 covering the outside circumferential surface is made of a nitrile rubber material whose acrylonitrile contents are within a range of 18 to 42%, then repulsive elasticity becomes large and at the same time oil resistance and solvent resistance improve as well.
