Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the fixing performance, by providing spacers between a hot plate and a rotating body, and an elastic member to adhere said spacers to the hot plate so as to keep the spacing between the hot plate and holding roller almost constant.
CONSTITUTION: A hot plate 6 is heated by a rubber heater 9 porvided on the lower face thereof. A transfer member holding roller 14 has spacers 151, 152 provided on the both ends thereof, and is borne by a rotating shaft 16. By means of pins 81, 82 provided at both end parts of a hot plate supporting table 7, and fixed pins 121, 122 secured to side plates 101, 102, and springs 131, 132, the roller 14 is held against the hot plate 6. By the constitution of the roller 14 having these spacers 151, 152, the roller 14 is held against the hot plate 6, and a proper spacing is preserved between the roller surface and hot plate surface. Therefore, passing of the transfer member is not made difficult by too narrow spacing, or the fixing capacity is not lowered by too wide spacing.
