Abstract

PURPOSE: To stop a feed of forms in piles by detecting it, by setting a criterion by passing one form through a detection mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: One form is passed through the detection mechanism composed of light emitting element 14 and photo detecting element 15 and its output current is stored in level holding circuit 18 via converter circuit 16. With switch 17 switched to comparator circuit 19 next, form 11 in hopper 10 is fed out by feed-out mechanism 12 and then passed through double-feed stopping mechanism 13 and the detection mechanism in sequence. When forms are fed one by one, comparator circuit 19 generates no abnormality occurrence signal, but when not less than two sheets are fed out, an output voltage across converter circuit 16 changes to output the abnormality occurrence signal from comparator circuit 19, thereby dispalying the abnormality by abnormality occurrence display unit 20 or stopping the form feed by a feed operation control circuit via line 21.
