Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to effectively display date, day and month, while simplifying the construction of a display unit, by using a group of plural elements in a switching manner.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer periphery of twelve display elements 11 such as liquid crystals, there are arranged sixty display elements 12a, 12b and so on five for each section while corresponding to the positions of elements 11a, 11b and on. The element group 12 is selectively driven in response to a minute or second display signal. And, the clock pulses from an oscillator 15 are counted by counters 16 to 22 so that time measuring signals of second, minute and hour, date signals of date and day, and month signals are attained. And, normally, the element groups 11 and 12 display the time, and the element group 12 displays the date in a switching manner in place of the time measuring signals for the time, display by the operations of a switching key. At the same time, the element group 11 displays the month in a switching manner.
