Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the title prepolymer which is soluble in conventional low- boiling solvent and easily handleable, and gives a heat-resistant resin having excellent curability, by the melt reaction of a bisimide, a diamine and a epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups.
CONSTITUTION: A bisimide of formulaI(R1 is a bivalent organic group having -C=C- bond; R2 is ≥2C bivalent organic group), a diamine of H2N-R3-NH2 (R3 is ≥2C bivalent organic group), and an epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups, are molten and reacted together at 90W140°C for 5W120min. The molar ratio of the bisimide to the diamine is 1 to 0.5W4, and the weight ratio of the epoxy compound to the whole composition is ≤80wt%. The prepolymer thus obtained is soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methylcellosolv, etc. at a concentration of as high as ≥50%.
