Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the stopping of the electric bell ringing with a simple circuit by installing the diode bridge circuit between the main wire or the extension and the electric bell circuit of the telephone set. CONSTITUTION:Bridge-structure diodes D1-D4 are inserted via switch SW between the main wire or the call line such as the extension or the like of the private branch exchange and the electric bell circuit consisting of electric bell BE of telephone TEL and capacitor C. With arrival of the call signals, bridges D1-D4 give the full wave rectification to the arrival signals to then apply them to the electric bell circuit. Capacitor C features an instantaneous charging to block the call signals, and as a result no current flows to bell BE. Thus the ringing of BE is stopped without giving any modification to the telephone and the telophone cord.
