Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically put injection timing at start-up time forward by providing a piston driven by fuel pressure and an auxiliary piston on a roller holder to regulate injection timing of a distribution type fuel injection pump for internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: A piston 21 to regulate injection fuel amount is interlocked through a rod 22 to a plunger unshown in the figure. A rod 37 fixed at the extremity of this piston 21 is engaged with an auxiliary piston 31 arranged on the same axis with the piston 21. Right and left sides of this auxiliary piston 31 are formed a pressure chamber 41 to have fuel pressure worked in a pump chamber 4, a low pressure chamber 24 to have atmosphere worked, further a spring 32 is allocated in the low pressure chamber 24 and thrusts the auxiliary piston 31 to the left side. By this reason, at the start-up time, pressure is not affected, so that the auxiliary piston 31 is found on the left side, injection timing is progressed in its angle because the piston 21 is pulled to the left side.
