Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photo switch capable of changing over and connecting the plural input and output fibers with a wavelength selectivity, by selectively changing over the plural dichromatic filters differing in wavelength characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric thin film filter 7 disposed at 45 deg. in the intersection of the extended lines of central axes of rod lenses 5a, 6a is constituted by disposing band rejection filters 7a to 7d having rejection characteristics peaked at different wavelenghts, and is movable in the disposing direction. Therefore, by selecting the disposing positions of the filters 7 and wavelength characteristics of the filters 7, lights of arbitrary wavelengths of the lights divided and multiplied from an optical fiber 5 may be picked up by means of an optical fiber 6, so that this photo switch may be used as subscriber line concentrator or subscriber selector.
