Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect a tube from high temperature, by notching an inside part of the high temperature chamber side end of a bypass tube to increase the inside diameter of the end and concentrically fitting heat insulators between the notched end of the bypass tube and the protected tube.
CONSTITUTION: The notch 4 of h in thickness and l in depth is provided on the inside of the end of the bypass tube 2 on the side of a high temperature chamber 12. A heat insulator 5 is fitted in the notch 4 so that the heat insulator 5 projects from the notch in both the axial direction and radial direction of the bypass tube. The protected tube 9, whereon another heat insulator 10 is fitted between stoppers 6, 7, is fitted in the former heat insulator 5 and secured concentrically with the bypass tube 2. A part of heat in the protected tube 9 flows to the bypass tube 2 through the heat insulators 10, 5, another part of the heat flows to the bypass tube 2 through the stopper 6 and the heat insulator 5 and still another part of the heat flows to the bypass tube 2 through the heat insulator 10. Heat balance is thus attained as a whole.
