Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to reproduce a half tone by controlling the applying time of a recording voltage, which is supplied to a recording head, or the conduction time of a recording current according to picture signals in a facsimile receiver.
CONSTITUTION: When clock signals are inputted from clock signal distribution circuit 9 to BBD 4a, analogue picture signals are inputted from input terminal PIX to BBD 4a. After that, clock signals are inputted to BBD 4b, and picture signals are inputted to BBD 4a. The output from reference waveform generation circuit 5 is supplied to comparator circuits 6a-1 to 6b-m, and output signals having a pulse width according to the voltage of picture signals held in BBD 4a and 4b are generated and are power-amplified through switching circuit 7 by X side driving circuits 11-1 to 11-m and are inputted to the X side terminal of thermal head 1. The output of n-notation counter 10 is power-amplified and is applied to the Y side of thermal head 1.
