Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable rapid function for preventing backward run at any place by providing a carrier main body with a rear dog which is levellable backward and has a collision stop pin at its tip end and providing a rail with a latchet type stopper.
CONSTITUTION: With a drive chain broken for some reason, a carrier starts running backward along a slant surface. In this case, a rear dog 6 pivoted on a carrier main body 8 and biased for leveling backward rotates as indicated by dotted line in the figure; a collision stop pin 10 at the tip end of the dog 6 slides down along the slant surface and stops the instance when it collides with a tooth 12 of a stopper 7. In case the chain is broken while the carrier is running along a horizontal or upwardly slant portion, the carrier will be prevented from running backward at any time and any place after running down by at most one pitch of the stopper 7.
