Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect ventilation under little flow resistance while insulating a sound, by mounting a ventilation cylinder with an outer cylinder of cross sectional area at least twice larger than that of the ventilation cylinder, tightly closing both the ends of the outer cylinder and opening holes through the ventilation cylinder inside the outer cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: The outer cylinder 2 of cross sectional area at least twice larger than that of the ventilation cylinder 1 is mounted on the cylinder 1 which is so formed that its air flow resistance is reduced as much as possible. Both the ends of the outer cylinder 2 are tightly closed with lids 21 on the ventilation cylinder 1. A plurality of holes 11 are opened through the ventilation cylinder 1 so that the interior of the ventilation cylinder communicates with that of the outer cylinder. The inner end of the ventilation cylinder 1 communicates with a room. The ventilation can thus be effected on the basis of the principle of an acoustic filter while insulating the sound.
