PROCESS: A compoundIis prepared by reacting an alcoholII(R is aryl, fatty acid residue, arylthioalkanoylozy, etc.) with a halogenobenzoxazole III. The reaction is carried out in an inert solvent, e.g. dichloromethane (-ethane), trichloroethylene, etc., in the presence of hydrogen halide-trapping agent, e.g. trialkylamine, etc., preferably in the atmosphere of an inert gas, e.g. argon, etc.
