Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a minute gap and realize a longer life of the device by injecting fluid through the holes disposed on the surface opposing to a sheet-form recording medium toward the recording medium and supporting the recording medium by an elastic member from its back side. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of holes 14 are provided to the surface opposing to a sheet-form recording medium 30 and these holes 14 are communicated with the fluid distributing holes 15 provided in the width direction of a recording head 6 in communication with a fluid feed pipe 16. A counter electrode brush 17 and a recording stylus 18 are provided so as to make contact to the recording medium 30 and these are connected to the signal line to which information is being transmitted by voltage signals. A highly elastic material, e.g., the cushion comprising sealing air 12 in rubber 21, is laid immediate under this recording medium 30. This enables the minute gap between the head and recording medium to be maintained constant and enables durability and image quality to be improved.
