Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:9-β-(5-Amino-5-deoxy-D-allofuranosyluronic acid)adenine of the formula.
USE: An inhibitor against the enzyme hydrolyzing the phospho diester linkage in CAMP, CGMP (transmetters of hormone activities), being used for heart attack or diseases caused by deficiency in hormone balance.
PREPARATION: Polyoxin D, E, F that are produced by a specific Streptomyces is used as the starting material and subjected to several kinds of procedures to give 2',3'-di-O-acetyl-N3-benzoyl-N3'-carboxyuracilpolyoxin C methyl ester. Consequently, the reaction of the product with N6-benzoyl-N6,9-bistrimethylsilyl adenine is effected in the presence of an acidic catalyst and a solvent to form the compound of the formula.
