Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide spiral kerfs easily on the inside of a tube by equipping a retainer which is still really at a fixed position and a rotary body which is free to rotate and has cutters on the inside of a plastic tube moving in an axial direction.
CONSTITUTION: A retainer 5 inserted into a tube 1 which moves in the direction of an arrow A is retained at a fixed position in spite of move of the tube 1 in connection with damping rollers 8, 8' mounted on the retainer and supporting rollers 9, 9' between which the tube 1 is put with a clearance. A rotary body 3 is connected with the retainer 5 through a connecting rod 6 and therefore the rotary body 3 is free to rotate. On this rotary body 3 multiple cutters are equipped at the angle twisted against the axial direction of the rotary body 3. The rotary body 3 rotates in the direction of an arrow B by a lateral force in accordance with the twist of the cutters 4. The cutters 4 give kerfs on the inside of the tube 1 at the same time but each of the kerfs takes a spiral form by means of rotation.
