Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a deviation from occurring at the joint portion between adjacent elements by providing the flanges of channel steels placed on both sides of a reinforcement cage with engagement portions and coupling the channel steels by means of the engagement portions.
CONSTITUTION: The flanges of channel steels 1 placed on both sides of a reinforcement cage A are provided with engagement portions 1a and 1b. First, a groove 4 for an element B2 to be connected with an existing element B1 of a continuous underground wall is excavated. Next, the reinforcement cage A is inserted in the groove 4, with the engagement portions 1a and 1b of the channel steel 1 of the element B1 engaged with those of the channel steel 1 of the cage A. Then, concrete 7 is cast in between the channel steels 1 in the groove, to form the element B2. Finally, concrete 7' is cast in between the engaged pair of channel steels 1, to connect the element B2 with the element B1.
