Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a printing negative of a constant coating thickness efficiently by coating photosensitive solution through the cloth-made coating screen adjustably disposed to the metal plate to be coated. CONSTITUTION:The end edge part of a tubular knot cotton warp-knit fabric 4 is inserted into the incised hole 3 of a coating pipe 1 and is so fixed as not to pull out. Both ends of the pipe 1 are sealed with a transparent stop cover 7 and a stop cover 9 provided with a liquid influent pipe 8. This is then suspended by an elevator 13. The valve 10 provided to the pipe 8 is opened to allow the photosensitive solution to flow from a solution tank 11 into the pipe 1. Where it reaches a half volume level 18, the opening of the valve 10 is suitably controlled and rollers 16, 17 are rotated, after which the metal plate 19 to be coated is inserted and is let to be held between the rollers 16, 17. Thereafter, the metal plate 19 is conveyed leftward by the rotation of the rollers 16, 17 and the photosensitive solution is coated on its surface through the fabric 4. The amount of coating may be changed as desired by changing the contact area of the fabric 4 to the metal plate 19 by the elevator 13.
