Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the waste consumption of an electric power accompanying the use of a timer by flashing a lamp in case the power supply to an electronic device is blocked even after elapse of a preset time after a button is depressed.
CONSTITUTION: If a sleeping button 110 is depressed so that a main switch 22 is turned on during the reservation of sleep, the information that the switch 22 is conductive is transmitted to a discriminating circuit 123 by the action of a coactive switch 220. The circuit 123 judges that the sleep is reserved and that the switch 22 is conductive thereby to change the signals to be impressed upon a lamp drive circuit 152 each time count terminating signals are fed from a counter 129. As a result, a sleep lamp 151 is flashed to give a warning since the counter 129 changes the conductive and inconductive conditions each time it finishes its counting operations. As a result, it is possible to reduce the waste power consumption due to use of a sleeping timer while keeping the power source of a TV receiver set operative.
