Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent partial wear of the friction pad with a construction, in which a pair of caliper slide guide pins project in oppsite directions from respective calipers or brackets so that the sum of the lengths of their portions received in respective support holes is constant irrespective of the displacement of the caliper.
CONSTITUTION: Slide pins 31 and 32 of calipers c are secured to a stationary bracket B such that they project in opposite directions. The sum l1+l2 of the lengths of portions the slide pins 31 and 32 received in respective support holes 51 and 52 is made constant irrespective of the displacement of the calipers C at the time of the control. Thus, even when friction pads are worn, the calipers C are steadily supported, and also the frictional resistance is practically unchanged, so that it is possible to obtain satisfactory control action and prevent partial wear of the friction pards.
