Abstract
PURPOSE: Herbicide which contains α-monofluoropropionic acid compound as an active constituent, does not pollute environment and has an excellent herbicidal property.
CONSTITUTION: A herbicide containing α-monofluoropropionic acid compound of formula (R is 1W4C lower alkyl, alkali metal capable of forming a salt, alkaline- earth metal, ammonium, amino or H) as an active constituent. It is decomposed rapidly in soil and does not pollute soil and water. It is mixed with a carrier, such as talc, clay, water or alcohols, and applied at a rate of 10W300g/a. Especially, it is preferable to use the agent for the suppression of germination because this can be performed at a relatively small rate of application.
