Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to measure and observe the light level and modulation waveform at the same time, by constituting the unit with the photo detection switch means, photo detection means, amplification means, time axis signal generation means and display means.
CONSTITUTION: When the switch 6 is ON, the photo detector 4 flows current with the light 2 to cause a voltage across the resistor 5. This voltage is amplified 10 and fed to the Y axis of the Braun tube 40 via the Y axis deflection circuit 41. That is, the light signal is converted into electric signal and fed to the Y axis. When the switch 6 is OFF, no current flows even if the photo detector 4 receives light 2 and no voltage is caused across the resistor 5. Accordingly, the input voltage of the input terminal 11 of the amplifier 10 is zero and the voltage of Y axis of the Braun tube 10 is at 0 level. On the other hand, a part of the output of the amplifier 10 and a part of the output of the control circuit 9 are fed to the time axis circuit 44. With this constitution, the level of light and modulation waveform can simultaneously be observed.
