Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of fuel gas in a gas combusting apparatus, by employing an arrangement that the apparatus is set into automatic combusting operation only when a flame detecting circuit and a safety timer circuit are operated normally, by checking their operation each time operation starting switch is turned on.
CONSTITUTION: A control system for controlling combustion of gas, of this invention, comprises a circuit for feeding current to coil 9 of a second relay by the output of flame detecting circuit 7 so as to drive changeover contact 4 of the second relay and a circuit for exciting coil 12 of a first relay by a safety timer circuit 6 which produces an output after passing of a predetermined time in case that the burner fails to ignite, so as to drive changeover contact 2 of the first relay. Electromagnetic valve 5 is driven by normally closed contacts of the first and the second relays 2 and 4, whereas igniter 3 is driven by the normally closed contact of the first relay 2.
