Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a complete machine lock by setting and storing a machine lock number, which only an operator who can operate the electronic cash register (ECR) can obtain, in a memory.
CONSTITUTION: Input signals form key board 1 are given to central processing unit (CPU) 2 for operation control. CPU 2 includes a comparator which compares contents of a read-only memory, where a program to operate the ECR is set and stored previously, and display register 31 with contents of machine lock number storage area 33. Memory 3 includes area 31 as a display register to store temporarily numeric information inputted from ten-key 13, area 32 to store the responsible operator number, area 33 to store the machine lock number, and area 34 to stored the machine lock flag.
