CONSTITUTION:The output of photo detecting element 11 on which an input photo signal is incident is supplied to positive input terminal (+) of amplifier 13 with both negative and positive terminals and a voltage at the negative input terminal side of amplifier 13 is used for the reference voltage of comparator 16, because this voltage of amplifier 13 where output voltage Vout is fed back to negative input terminal (-) by resistance 15 becomes equal to that at the output terminal with no input supplied to the positive input terminal. Therefore, even if amplifier 16 varies in output voltage due to variation in power voltage or temperature, the reference voltage of comparator 16 follows up the variation of the output voltage of amplifier 13, so that the input photo signal can be received and discriminated stably.
