Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a rapid recovery from a fault by simplifying the measurement of dial distortion appearing at a carrier unit and transmission line by making a disconnection from a switchboard by equipping the carrier unit with a dial-distortion measuring circuit composed of a simple circuit. CONSTITUTION:Monostable multivibrator 21 generates reference pulses by an input signal. A reference pulse is compared with input dial distortion by OR-ELSE circuit 20, whose output is led to monostable multivibrator 16 for the detection of the accurate value of a make error, and AND gates 17 to 19. On detecting the error, monostable multivibrator 16 generates a pulse of a width of 5% in make ratio. Monostable multivibrator 15 generates a similar pulse lagging by 5%. Monostable multivibrator 14 also generates a pulse lagging by 5%. Therefore, gate 19 generates its output with dial distortion of 5% and below, gates 19 and 18 both generate outputs with distortion of 5 to 10%, and gates 19, 18 and 17 all generate outputs with distortion of 15% or above, so that the dial distortion can be measured by freely setting the times of multivibrators 14 to 16.
