CONSTITUTION: A pair of left and right positional detectors 5, 6 opposite to both right and left ends of a steel plate 1, and a pair of movable chamfering devices 7, 8 between the installing part of a vertical directional retaining roller 3. And, the movable chamfering device 8 supports a column 16 which has a chamfering head 19 installed in free command of vertically moving on a head 17 in free command of moving to the right and left directions of the steel plate 1, the chamfering head is followed to the end of the steel plate 1 by driving and controlling a pulse motor 29 by signals from the left and right positional detectors 5, 6.
