Abstract

Then, an alkali aqueous solution is added to adjust the pH to over 8 and the stirring is continued, the solid part is separated and an acid is added to the filtrate to isolate deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). The adjustment of the homogenized milt of fish to a specific pH value permits the increase in quantity to be treated per batch and the deterioration caused by deamination or others on heating can be prevented.
