Abstract

PURPOSE: A crosslinked rubber containing chlorine that is produced by mixing an active chlorine-containing and crosslinking polymer with a specific compound and a glass filler and making them crosslind, thus showing large reinforcing effect by the glass filler.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) 100 parts by wt of a crosslinking polymer containing active chlorine as 1-chlorobutadiene-butadiene copolymer or chlorosulfonated polyethylene are added (B) 0.1W10 parts of a di-or polyamine as N-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine, triethlenetetramine or (C), along with (B), 2W80 parts, per 100 parts of (B), of a di- or polyepoxy compound as diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethl 3,4-epoxycyclohexylcarboxylate and (D) 2W 40vol% of a glass filler that is a bundle of 1,000W3,000 glass filaments of 2W30 micron diameter. This composition is kneaded for 5W40hr and made to crosslink at 10W200kg/cm2 and 120W170°C.
