Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency by forming a cooling wind passage in which cooling wind flows in the vicinity of an exhaust valve, spark plug, and an intake valve in succession, in the cylinder head of an overhead cam-shaft type engine. CONSTITUTION:On the cylinder head 23 of an engine, two exhaust valves 14, one spark plug 38, and two intake valves 18 are arranged in the direction of advance of a car, and all intake and exhaust valves 14 and 18 are driven by a cam-shaft 13 arranged on the cylinder heat 23 similarly. Further, in the cylinder head 23, a cooling wind passage 41 is arranged which passes in the vicinity of the intake and the exhaust valves 14 and 18 and the spark plug 38 and has openings 42 and 43 in the front and rear direction of advance of the car, on the upper side of intake and exhaust ports 16 and 19.
