Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the accuracy of the flow meter by providing a hot-wire resistor of a predetermined structure.
CONSTITUTION: The hot-wire resistance line 1 having a predetermined resistance value and a spredetermined length is welded to the lead wires 2, 2, the end surface of the cylindrical glass bobbin 3 is heated by the burners 4, 5 and both ends of the resistance line 1 is inserted under pressure to the end surface of the bobbin 3. Then, a predetermined load 6 is applied to the resistance line 6, and while the bobbin is rotated in a left direction, the resistance line 1 is wound around the bobbin 3, so that the winding direction of the bobbin 3 and the center portion of the bobbin 3 is made reverse to the turn out and the resistance line 1 is wound around the bobbin 3 at a predetermined pitch to form a hot-wire resistor. In this construction, the resistance value accuracy of the hot-resistor becomes high and the thermal-resistor is non inductive, leading the hot-wire calorimeter to be highly accurate. The trimming of the resistor metal coating provided on the surface of the bobbin produces the thermal resistor of the similar construction.
