Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An Al-coated steel sheet alone is calcined idly at a temp. 450W 650°C for a short time just before it is used as a base material for an enamel ware. Hereby, the soft portion of a passivated Al coating is forced to be passivated, so that the base material is prevented completely from contacting with alkaline components of the glaze and with the Al metal component during calcination, consequently the formation of nascent hydrogen is prevented, thereby preventing the formation of cissings, foams, and pinholes during calcination and the formation of enamel defects at scratches which are caused during operation or transportation.
