Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize accurate and definite stenography and typeing using a magnetic reproducing device by holding a non-recording period for a fixed time by detecting an unrecorded part by a reproduction output.
CONSTITUTION: When a reproduction output is not generated any more on the detection of an unrecorded part, outputs of comparator 10 and inverter 11 and inverted to high and low levels and FF 13 is reset. By this low-level reset output and a low-level output from inverter 11, the output of NOR gate 12 is inverted to a high level to turn transistor 8 OFF, and consequently motor 6 stops rotating, thereby stopping a tape. Timer 17, on the other hand, is actuated by the low-level output of inverter 11 through pulse generating circuit 15 and inverter 16 and FF 13 is set through pulse generating circuit 20 until the timer time leapses; during this period, the non-recording period is maintained forcibly and from that point, transistor 8 conducts to rerun the tape. Consequently, excellent reproduction is carried out from the beginning of the next recording period, so that accurate and definite typing and stenography will be performed in the forcible non-recording period.
