Abstract

PURPOSE: To double frequency response and achieve higher accuracy of detection by interposing a full-wave rectifying means between an AC voltage generating means and an envelope detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: The AC voltage signal a outputted from a generator 3 along with running of a DC motor 1 is supplied to a full-wave rectifier circuit 8, by which it is converted to a positive voltage signal b. This voltage is then inputted to an envelope detector 4 and the signal b1 is derived in its output. The signal b1 follows up the changes as the level voltages of envelope respectively at sections t1 thru t3, t3 thru t5, t6 and so forth in response to that the crest values of the signal a have changed at the times t2, t4, t6. Hence, the envelope voltage is obtained by sampling the rotating speed fluctuations of the motor 1 at a rate of once every half period of the AC voltage signal of the voltage generator 3 and therefore the phase delay becomes one half and the accuracy of detection becomes twice higher.
