Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the title composition having improved weather resistance, plate-out resistance, and initial color development, by adding an organic phosphorous acid ester and a specific phoshporic or phosphorous acid derivative to a polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polymer such as polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene, and (B) 0.005W8.0 parts of stabilizing agents comprising (a) one or more organic phosphorous acid esters of formulas IWIII [R1W3 are IV, V (m is 1W8; x is 1W10; Z1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.; Z2 is (substituted) arylene), alkylaryl, epoxy, etc.; Y is residue of polyhydric alcohol or polyhydric phenol] and (b) 0.1W10 pats, based on 1 parts of the (a) compound, of a phosphoric or phosphorous acid derivative having at least one OH group directly bonding to the P atom, i.g. a compound of the formula VI [R1W5 are H, epoxy, IV or V; n is 0W10; A is 0W1; W is none or oxygen; at least one of the group directly bonded to the P atoms is hydroxyl group (>POH or a group VII), i.e. at least one of R1W5 is H.].
